Certification for project management leaders

IPMA® Level C – Leaders in project management.

IPMA Level C is suitable for individuals who already manage projects independently. It is the right level for (aspiring) project leaders as well as project managers.
During the certification process, participants demonstrate that they are proficient in managing projects. They know how to apply agile, traditional, and hybrid project management approaches and are also familiar with project design.

After successfully passing the examination, certified candidates are awarded the title: IPMA® Level C – Certified Project Manager

IPMA® Level C is suitable for individuals who independently manage projects and is particularly intended for:

Experienced professionals (minimum 36 months) in a responsible role managing moderately complex projects, or sub-project managers in complex projects
Project leaders who would like to have their experience and project management knowledge independently validated.
Individuals aspiring to a leadership position in projects

Within the last 6 years, you should have gained the following experience:

Proof of at least 3 years of experience in a responsible project management role in moderately complex projects
or
Proof of at least 3 years of experience in a responsible sub-project management role in complex projects

You know how to successfully plan and manage projects.
You understand project design as an approach and can apply it.
You are proficient in agile, traditional, and hybrid project management approaches.
You are not only familiar with the competence elements of ICB 4, but also apply this knowledge routinely in everyday project work.

Registration for the certification examination via PM-ZERT's certification portal. English-language examinations are also available upon request.

Written exam lasting 120 minutes
Workshop lasting 6 hours
Interview of up to 60 minutes
If you already hold an IPMA® Level D certificate, the workshop is waived as an examination part. Instead, an extended interview of up to 90 minutes will take place.
Certificate issued: IPMA® Level C – Certified Project Manager. The certificate is issued in English.
