PM-ZERT is the independent certification body of the GPM Deutsche Gesellschaft für Projektmanagement e. V.. PM-ZERT is accredited by the DAkkS for the IPMA® 4-Level Certification System and certifies individuals according to the internationally valid standards of the International Project Management Association (IPMA®). As an organizationally and financially independent institution within GPM, PM-ZERT has its own governing bodies and organizational units, including a Steering Committee, Program Committee, Executive Management, Arbitration Board, Quality Management Representative, and Auditors. The Program Committee includes representatives from the business sector, academia, and public administration who are intersted in certification-related matters. The PM-ZERT office is responsible for the operational handling of certifications — from the initial inquiry through certification issuance and recertification.
As an accredited certification body, PM-ZERT selects assessors according to defined criteria. These assessors evaluate candidates and recommend the awarding of certificates. The examinations and assessments within the project management certification process are conducted by these independent project management experts — assessors who are themselves certified and/or approved by international committees — on behalf of PM-ZERT.

In the field of personal certification in project management (IPMA® Levels D, C, B, and A), PM-ZERT is accredited by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17024:2012, based on the IPMA® ICB 4.0 standard. In addition, PM-ZERT is validated by the International Project Management Association (IPMA®) and internationally recognized.
